Correct a sideways or upside-down PDF

Rotate every page by 90, 180 or 270 degrees and save the orientation in a new PDF.

Use one angle for the whole file

This tool suits a scan where all pages arrived sideways or upside down. Choose an angle, save the rotated copy and inspect it before sharing.

If only a few pages need correction, open Organise PDF instead and rotate them individually using the thumbnails. Rotate PDF applies the same angle to every page.

Keep the existing page content

Rotation changes the PDF instruction that tells readers which way up to display a page. It does not repaint the page or turn selectable text and drawings into an image.

The source remains unchanged. If you choose the wrong angle, apply another rotation to the new copy or start again from the source.

Check the saved orientation

Some PDF readers rotate only the current view. This tool saves the rotation in the file so other readers can display it that way too.

Open the downloaded copy in another reader and check the first, last and any pages that had a different orientation. For repeated scanner batches, correcting the scanner’s feed setting may avoid the same problem next time.

Questions
How are upside-down pages corrected?

Choose 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Rotate applies one angle to all pages; use Organise PDF when only selected pages need correction.

What changes when a PDF is rotated?

The operation changes page rotation metadata without re-encoding text, images or vector content.

What happens to the source PDF?

The source remains unchanged, and the rotated result downloads as a separate file.

Which PDFs need unlocking first?

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before rotation.
