Sign and fill PDF

Sign PDF files with a visible signature, fill forms and save a new copy.

Add a visible signature to a PDF

Draw your signature, place it on the required page and save a separate PDF. Check the recipient’s requirements before signing.

Draw and position the signature

Use a mouse, trackpad, finger or stylus to draw. Place the signature on the page, then move or resize it to fit the line. The signature keeps its proportions as you resize it.

You can reuse the drawing elsewhere in the same document session. Signatures are not saved for reuse by default. Each placement can be selected separately, so you can adjust one without moving the others.

Fill in the rest of the form

Add the date or typed text beside the signature and complete any supported fields. Review the whole page before saving, especially if a signature or note sits close to existing wording.

Open the saved PDF in another reader and check every signature placement and required form value. If the recipient needs a printed copy, check that the signature is legible at the intended print size.

Know which kind of signature you need

This is a visible drawn signature. It does not create a certificate-backed digital signature, timestamp or qualified electronic signature. Ask the recipient if their process requires one of those instead.

Changing a PDF that already has a digital signature can invalidate that signature. Keep the signed original and use a separate copy for any further editing.

Finish the signing session

The file and drawn signature are processed in this browser. The source PDF stays unchanged, but a local recovery draft may contain your edits. After saving, choose Close document to clear the recovery draft, especially on a shared device.
